My friends, do me and yourselves a favor, take your spouse by the hands, hold them close, look each other in the eyes; into your very souls...and dance.
Yes, sir.
That's a beautiful pic of the two of you.
My condolences Ben. I wish you the best. You and Patti are in my prayers.
Ben, That is a beautiful picture of the two of you. I hope your visit with your daughters is going well, as hard of a time as it is. But I hope it is comforting to have the 3 of you together.
Thanks Julie,
I never realized (I thought I did) until now just how powerful, good and beautiful pictures can be.
Particularly pictures of my love. Our love.
Thank you Andrew,
Your prayers mean a lot to me, my friend.
Thank you Leslie,
We raised two wonderful and virtuous daughters.
I am so very proud of them. They have been a tremendous help and comfort to me...and each other.
Since it's only us we decided to have A celebration of Patti's life at home.
We're going to look at all her pictures and listen to some of her favorite songs which we all happen to also love.
You're right, Ben. Thank you for the reminder. My wife loves Alan Jackson, and that is one of her favorites.
You are most welcome, Mushroom.
I can tell from reading your excellent blog how deeply in love you are with your wonderful wife. :^)
As I'm certain everyone commenting here is with their spouse (and children).
Ben, you are so kind to share your grief-thoughts and life-joys with us. I am humbled, touched, and not a little in awe of your openness with us, your little online community.
The Jolly Roger and I keep you and your girls in our evening prayers.
How was your Memorial with your daughters? You must be very busy, but I look forward to hearing about it and how you guys are doing.

Thanks Joan,
I think it might help me learn more meaning from Patti's journey to the Othere side, and my new purpose now, besides being a dad and grandpa that is.
Hopefully it will also be of some small comfort to others who might find themselves facing a similar experience in the future (although I sure don't wish this kind of loss on any one of you guys, but I also know that it's rare for a wife and husband to pass at the same moment).
Hi Leslie,
I'm working on the next post now.
Both of our daughters are heading back to NC and KY so I have more time to blog on.
